I have to get to school or of my school catchment reach so, as this is part of a wider run to a nursery to far from either home or the school to walk, I drive. I'll have to leave one ltn, into another ltn around the primary school we attend, after crossing between towns road who will have become absolutely hectic, on bikes. However I'd then cycle down the and back up from quite far along Cowley rd in the direction of Oxford and back up twice per day. I had been thinking to look for more work increase my hours after being made redundant during the earlier lockdown but won't have the time to work with all the nursery and school commutes, but I'm also fearful of that between town roads stretch of our journey now after what you'll have done to it by creating the surrounding ltns.

The council do what they want rather than actually conducting a proper meeting with the community. Why pay council tax if they conduct themself in this way

These will be more hazardous than helpful. Blocking access for ambulances, limiting those who cannot walk/cycle, making mornings hard for working parent/careers who have to juggle the school run and getting to work on time in the morning. Not to mention the increase of traffic flow that is sure to happen on the alternate roads which in turn can cause access issues for emergency services for those roads, difficulties for those residents and possible risk of increase of traffic accidents.
I understand the thought of making Oxford more green but surely there’s other schemes that can be put into place. More bike schemes at the workplace and at schools? Offering better public transport so independent car journeys are not as necessary. Better school bus schemes so people don’t have to pay such an a large expense out to get there children to and from school.
These barriers cause issues instead of them being a solution.

Going to create more issues that it could possibly resolve. Will cause disruption and difficultly for those travelling to work.

Outrageous decision to do this during a pandemic making travelling to shops for essentials for people who live down Kelburne road and Mayfair road especially for the elderly having to travel further because they can’t travel by any other mean.

These need to be removed ASAP. I do not look forward to when my driving lessons resume and I’ll have to be stuck in traffic on oxford road and Iffley road. Everyone has had a tough year and having pots in the middle of the road is not necessary. Council needs to spend money on something more useful.

Just causing more traffic congestion along other routes, increasing travel times which will lead to an increase in pollution. Does not increase safety, just increases fustration of drivers which will lead to increase speed and careless driving to get to final destination.
More thought needs to be put into this.

Absolutely the the worst idea ever. There is no common sense or any sense in this idea of blocking the roads.
