End traffic barriers in Littlemore and Cowley

What about all the people who live on the streets already getting more traffic? Our street is already getting more - it's like fly tipping. My nan is in Littlemore, I'm in Cowley. I can't drop shopping easily now and her carer is complaining about how long it's taking to get there. Some people have complicated journeys and lives - people with dependents and onward journeys outside Oxford which aren't on bus routes. What is the council thinking when things are so tough for us all - just making it harder to go about our daily lives. My nan can't ride a bike - and I can't take her shopping there every day on one (as well as drive to work and work long hours). Great if you live and work in the same place but most people don't. So fed up with this council - they've got no idea. Charlie Hicks is so young got no life experience, Damian Haywood is so full of himself he doesn't listen to anyone.

Roads are like a maze with total chaos

The 'inner' roads only had low levels of traffic. Maybe 10% will switch to bikes but people now drive three times as far, and the outer roads - which already have far too much traffic - are even more saturated. It's a 'low traffic neighbourhood' for some but you should call it a 'very high traffic neighbourhood' for others. This is not morally right. I don't know anyone on my outer road who was told about the vote by the council. We are being treated with absolute contempt. Don't our lives matter, don't you represent us too?

LTNs just divert traffic to other streets increasing congestion and increase commute, there by increasing pollution. Nobody is going to stop driving a car when they need to because of LTNs.

It is not a really good idea to close all them side roads, by doing this it will cause more traffic and more pollution.

These controls have just pushed traffic else where. I am concerned for emergency vehicles getting places quickly . I do cycle and use transport as well as drive but really do not see the benefit of this scheme . It means I end up on the road longer , sitting in traffic

We have shut the stable door after the horse has bolted. No point in making it hard for cars to drive around cowley once they are there. We should stop cats getting to cowley in the first otherwise we are just dumping pollution and problems into the Iffley and cowley roads. There are already enough school kids having to cycle on the pavements because the Iffley road is unsafe now they will be breathing in more pollution from queuing traffic on the Iffley road which is not fair to them

The restrictions have caused very heavy traffic at Newman Road which has resulted in my daughter being late to school

I’m so glad there has been such a strong backlash already, many residents objected prior to the implementation but it seemed we were NOT listened to or considered!!

Ryman road needs to be left open to keep the flow of traffic. It's right by a school this is needed to keep things moving not blocking more roads. The rest is causing so many others to travel more to get where they have to go. Causing more pollution.

Where these planters are being put in our area, crescent rd, means we can no longer access Holloway rd which I do on virtually every journey I make. I will now have to go down crescent rd, onto Oxford Rd, through the lights at the original Swan , then the next lights just to get onto Holloway. My working hours will increase due to more time stuck in traffic. My petrol costs will increase as well as th imitiions that will be generated from my car sat in traffic. This will not be a win situation in my household whatever

Ridiculous for locals.

The LTN don’t seem to be thought through and only target some neighbourhoods but others like Headington or Summertown. Some people seem cut off from groceries and have to drive a long way around the LTNs and other streets now have traffic.

They redirect the problems to other roads. I prefer traffic to find its own path.

Absolute joke. Someone from office with no idea about traveling around Oxford. Blocking roads has caused more traffic the pollution alot worse as now you got to drive the long way to everywhere. It's now preventing emergency services more problems. The money could have gone on repairing roads that need it

What about the increased pollution for the people who live on the roads that all the traffic is now forced to use.doesnt their health count.

These road closures just push traffic on to already congested roads instead of giving us access to the bypass, the purpose of which is to remove traffic from town and city streets.

The barriers have QUADRUPLED the distance I have to travel to get to Florence Park. I am 77 with severe arthritis and must drive to get to the park.
