Don't think this is a good thing as it will affect traffic elsewhere and course problems for the emergency services

I suffer from severe arthritis therefore I need to travel by car. These obstructions are restrictive and prohibit me carrying out my usual day to day life. This scheme discriminates against disabled people. Therefore, I object to them.

This has made a prison out of Littlemore. The only roads out are the roundabout (no traffic light and restricted road) and Newman road (again a side road). It will be impossible when lockdown finishes. It feels like the council actively doesn't want people South of the ring road to enter Oxford. It is also discriminatory for those who are elderly or disabled and cannot cycle. A huge walk is not an option. They have closed one of the main arterial routes into Oxford without any consideration for those it affects

To erect an LTN in Littlemore Road is an horrendous decision. It is NOT a rat run but the main road between Littlemore & Cowley. Bartholomew Road has also been cut off. For residents who need to drive to the Cowley shops, they now have to take a long circuitous route via Newman Road and Rose Hill. Many elderly people need to drive as it is difficult for them to walk and carry home heavy shopping bags. This is such an idiotic and ill thought scheme and local
people were not consulted enough. Shame on Oxford County Council and Oxford City Council.

This is only shifting the problem - causing even MORE cars to pour down our road Howard Street, which is already the main cut through road from Cowley Road to Iffley Road.

Some residents will benefit from these LTNs but many more will be inconvenienced by them. The way to reduce traffic density is to allow more alternative routes not fewer. Ideally we need to convince people not to jump into their cars for short journeys but to enjoy cycling or walking particularly when weather is good. This 6 month trial should take place in winter as that would be a true measure of how many car journeys are reduced in favour of walking or cycling.

It wasn't clear what was happening. I picked up my child from school and went to go my usual route home only to find the roads closed with no warning. It doesn't seem like it was planned around kids returning to school and the increased need to access these parts. Signed Phil.

I live in Cricket road and it's taking me 3 times more time to bring my son to the nursery every day. Using more petrol and that's not good for the family economy and the environment!!! and it's a non-sense!

To the authorities and anti-car campaigners: please stop describing Cowley and Florence Park as a ‘rat run’. We’re not rats, just local residents who need to drive through our own neighbourhoods, to carry out our lawful business. If you hate cars that much, then don’t drive and set an example. But, please don’t force other people to be inconvenienced and delayed like this. The traffic barriers should be removed and their trial period ended now.
