Blocking roads in a city where traffic is already so bad even though the pandemic has forced lots of people to work from home, is absolutely a ridiculous decision. These roads are there to reduce the traffic on the main roads during peak hours especially. Blocking them causes more traffic, stress, higher chance of accidents. 3 days on this scheme and had an accident on Between towns road because of the huge amount of traffic. Closing these roads all week only to allow for children and cyclists to walk on weekends makes no sense. I thought professionals were working at the city council. This reflects a decision made by a bunch of incompetents who have no idea about statistics and logic.

Pushing all Cowley traffic on to 3 main roads makes no sense, we all want quieter roads but we also all drive cars, it will be gridlock and worse air quality for all

it just moves traffic elsewhere causing more harm and i bet it wasn't a motor user or resident in these areas that suggested it , it is a waste of money and dangerous but hey the council don't care about the residents

Has caused chaos trying to get out of rosehill with all the traffic now heading along the main road across the bottom of the hill 20 minutes of standing traffic in the morning rush hour

creating tremendous stress to a Herschel Crescent resident having to face Newman Road junction every day to go to work.

Even with people still working from home, the traffic on the Oxford Rd & Between towns road is still noticeable, and this has been since the LTNs were put in place. It’s like the transformation you get on the roads from the summer holidays to when the children go back to school.

It complicates driving from cowley to littlenore. The co OP will suffer as it's not as straightforward driving to the co op

My journey actually takes twice as long now , so none of this makes any sense, using more fuel causing more congestion

The worst idea oxford ever created was to install these LTNs

The streets are for everyone and not just residents! These ideas are making traffic worse for others and make journeys to school and then work by car impossible!

Ridiculous and waste of money

I have to get two children to two different schools both of which are in the LTN areas - it is impossible and now taking 1.25 hours instead of 20 mins as it used to. When i return to office working that will add even more delay as it is in the littlemore LTN area.

Oxford Road is simply too narrow for this. Plus the 20 minute extra added onto my journey surely does the OPPOSITE of pollution (can't afford an electric car)

This is ridiculous!!!! It just diverts all the traffic onto Church Cowley Road

This is a nightmare causing more pollution than it’s supposed to be stopping

I believe that if these barriers stay, house value in these road will decline 2-5%. I like a quieter environment but I care more about my equity.

Hopefully this makes them rethink that these silly this are effecting peoples live and making cars go further so not helping the environment at all just making other roads and areas busier and more dangerous
