Ludicrous to force more traffic into already chocking main rds, one holdup on the A34 and the whole of Oxford will be affected also giving even more toxic fumes to other residence already taking the huge fume filled stale air of congested traffic in those areas , but sense never exists in most Oxford traffic plans does it , wouldn’t the money have been much better spent on the disgusting state of Oxfords dangerous pot holes instead of cheaply patching them up to the cost of drivers, cyclists peril , cost and risk to their lives especially after dark , the ring rd is also full of dangerous potholes, if people develop asthma they can move to a cleaner air place not double up the hazard for others , this is a very very selfish move by penalising one sector for the sake of others

Instead of blocking off completely all alternate routes, a better option would be to have one way systems in small roads with too much traffic. But as it stands now, the LTN has only resulted in more traffic jams

I live on a side street off Cowley Rd not included in the scheme and I am now pretty much trapped in long queues of traffic on Cowley Rd or Howard Street as a result of the scheme every time that I try to get out of my street in all directions. And this is still pandemic traffic. Will be even worse when everyone is not working from home. There was NO consultation of local residents in neighbouring areas who are highly impacted by the LTNs. Awful!!

In theory it's a nice idea, but doesn't work that well. It's very bad for all of my family and many other people I know. Everyone now has to take a longer detour to drive home, there already more traffic on Oxford road/ Cowley road so you can get stuck there for a long time, which leads to more pollution for residents who use a car. There are those residents who might not have another choice but to use a car. For shorter journeys I always have used my bicycle without any problems and still do. This just makes commuting home more of a headache.

This experiment will be an overwhelming success because the first 3 months are in lockdown and the second three months are school holidays. All six months have very light mornings and evenings and summer weather. Still want to walk and cycle in minus 11 hail and rain and darkness on unsalted pavements and cycleways .Still want to walk poorly lit roads with no traffic, cyclists or pedestrians. Really!

This a wrong approach .
Very little thought process has gone through .
You could have created one way system not blockade .
The ring road is constantly busy, this area is the only way out for local residents.
Must be reversed .

Three ways in or out down to one way in or out, how did they think that would help, traffic has never been so busy and it’s still at lockdown levels right now. Higher, faster traffic with more localized pollution, what did they think would happen.
We did have three ways out that’s now down to one, Westbury Crescent. All the traffic now passes through one road to get in or out, this failed experiment needs to stop now. If I was going to play devil advocate, I would say at the very least we need a one way system through Westbury Crescent (i.e. left fork in, right fork out) and traffic calming measures, that still wouldn’t negate the extra low level air pollution and frustration caused by this, sorry it needs to stop and be put right now. I’ve seen so many near misses with people and vehicle and actual car scrapes and damage to parked vehicles and road rage in the last few weeks than in more than 30 years living here.

Longèr car journeys mean more pollution and more traffic on some roads.Barriers mean that deliveries and emergency vehicles are hampered. Disabled and elderly who cannot walk far or ride a bike are affected as are parents who need to drop off at school and go on to work or caring roles.

Awful green gesture which will actually increase car fumes as everyone drives much further to get to their destination. Oxford hates cars and will kill business and visitors but it wants their money at the same time, bizarre.
