On January 25, Crain’s New York sided with the governor's plan to cut state funding of CUNY by a third in an unsigned editorial rife with outrageous depictions of CUNY’s “waste and inefficiency—from healthy workers taking sick days […] to professors who rarely teach.” The reality is that thousands of CUNY staff and faculty are carrying unreasonable workloads that seem designed to burn us out. Workload must be reduced in our next contract.
