I am a combat veteran, adult SA survivor (military), DV survivor (military), CSA survivor, as well as other traumas. I agree and so many others could get the help they need if the mental health community approached it differently.

This needs to happen. We do have an injury. C-PTSD and PTSD are heavily confused. Using PTSI will offer another way to advocate.

I would love to see the name changed to help others to be medically treated the right way and to move forward with a better tomorrow, for all who fight for this country.

I support this name change to help qualify the healthcare coverage needed for individuals with this injury.

I believe this is a positive step forward for those who are labeled and held back in our society

There should be no stigma to seeking treatment due to a "brand" of this serious injury. Please change the name to PTSI, a far, far more appropriate designation.

Words are so important. “Disorder” suggests helpless confusion, “injury” implies healing.

USMC 1967-1971, Vietnam 11/1969-06/1971; The injury to those who have post traumatic stress shouldn't be thought of as a disorder which can be 'reordered', but as an injury which may be healed, or may impact a person's life forever. Let's call it what it is: an injury.
