My spouse has endured PTSI for years... it's about time. The difference a word makes is HUGE. Acknowledgement that it's a physiological injury is so important to healing.

The causes of PTS are always injury. “Disorder” stigmatizes those who’ve been harmed. Injury is both more accurate and more honoring.

MDs, "social workers" brain injury assocs need to learn this from authorities they believe. Clearly, the wisdom of folks living with PTSI are ignored.

Our Vetrans have endured so much. They deserve any help needed by the medical profession. They are entitled to pain medication that works, that can help them acheive the most normal life possible, be it opiods or a procedure, shots, therapy, or artificial limbs and we should make sure they get that help in the most respectful, dignified way possible.

I suffer from a treatable injury to the brain & vagus nerve system called PTSI. It is time to address & heal this properly by EDUCATION of the truth of the matter. It really is not PTSD & CPTSD that implies no proper solution & gets categorized as mental illness, which it is NOT. PLEASE HELP change the treatable label to PTSI, and we can heal more of us! Now is the time! Thank you.

I support changing PTSD to PTSI. It's time to remove the stigma associated with a 'disorder' when Dr. Lipov has shown the evidence and results associated with a brain injury.

This is a valid and important change to make.

This is a very important change that MUST be made. There are lives at stake with brains that need the proper care. Time to move from focusing on cause to effect. The brain too is an injury prone entity and must be treated accordingly. I am happy to sign this petition and look forward to seeing this necessary change implemented for the sake of my wife and millions of other people.

This is a very important change, that would go a long way towards society understanding the seriousness and validity of the condition — it’s not a choice, it’s a life-threatening injury. The stigma and lack of understanding in the general public, prevents many sufferers from getting help. Thank you so much for changing the name to better reflect the truth of the condition
