End the postcode lottery for Fracture Liaison Services (FLS)

This is long overdue. Shame on this government for not following their promise to the electorate!

There should be no postcode lottery, we need to end the inequalities in health

The stats are shocking, a huge missed opportunity for prevention - this needs to change!

I was diagnosed at the age of 62...5 years ago by a phone call. The scores were bad for my age and lifestyle, I felt shocked and alone, I was told there's plenty of information on the Internet! It isn't recognised as a disability to claim help with, yet we can provide proof with xrays and scans, however, mental health takes priority but cannot be proven so easily...

I was fortunate to have a bone density scan several years ago. My mother had osteoporosis, but had never broken a bone. My GP was v supportive and wrote a "creative" referral. Surely a family history should be sufficient trigger for a referral.

We need national Dexa scans for Women over 50. Not everyone with serious osteoporosis looses their balance, falls over and breaks a bone. Not everyone has a close relative with osteoporosis. It's false economy at the moment. Also agony for those whose bones collapse spontaneously

I think this campaign should go ahead

It’s a no brainer, we need this now and for future generations.

I have osteoporosis, never broken a bone, but my doctor thought I should have a desk scan as my vitamin d was low. I was diagnosed at 71 and now on treatment. I wish I had been on Hrt, but too late now.

I'm an FLS member in Assiut who gained the gold star for our practice this year. I do care about bone health and wish uf we can help all vulnerable persons not to be fractured ever .

Awareness of bone health for all age. For advice and support for all people who have suffered fractures over the age of 50 years old. FLS to look at the bigger picture rather than treating an individual injury in isolation.

We are lucky to have a FLS so appreciate the importance of this for our patients .

Need more information and preventative care for osteoporosis in scotland

Something needs to be done to help those of us suffering osteoporosis who can’t afford to pay £3000 to go privately for tests

If scans could be given to all people over 50 (though younger people) can get osteoporosis it could save the NHS money and stop this very painful condition

When you take into account the saving to the tax-payer, and the improvement to the nations health, not to mention the reduction is suffering, it's so vital that FLS support is given to every area.

Let's get what is really needed now!
