Yes Mercari also took my money, granted it wasn't a lot ($20.05) but it's still my cash. I don't even care they banned my account but my item was shipped and they won't give me what I deserve. They also banned my account once I made a $180 sale. This platform is a joke and is reaping money from all people. Poor customer service and they cut the chat (refraining you to reply) just so they don't have to deal with you. They should be sued and closed. Simple.

Account closed said my items were not authentic! They all were absolutely authentic. Provided all sorts of personal information still suspended. Said would hold my money for 90 days. Then a customer wanted to return something they approved the person sent a box with dirty linoleum in it! They did nothing!

Same thing happened with me $2417 asking for ID, SSC no. Gave scanned and birthday passport all I did to get my money and called them they blocked my phone no. Had to used my grandson phone to called them... I have no returned and not even anything that make my account suspended... all I did was saving my money on there app to pay my property taxes I’m senior and they just steal my money

Mercari suspended my account even after I gave them my personal information to verify my ID because they then wanted my husbands personal information as well since we have a joint bank account. I now have $1,800 I cannot touch that I was planning on using to purchase Christmas gifts for my family.

Mercari suspended my account because I need to verify my ID, so i send everything in. And then they got another reason asking me for all the receipts to all the items I sold. I told them there is no where in their policy that I need to provide that. And my account still suspended. Contact the BBB and ask for Mercari to give me an answer why my account was suspended when I did not sell anything fake, not as described, or violate any policy that they have. The answer was it is their policy that they can suspend and hold your funds if there are suspicious activities. But still they couldn't give me answer why?. Then the BBB close the case. I still didnt get my answer!!!
My account funds is over $2000. I got all the proof but my account still suspended!

Mercari is a scam. I should have stuck with ebay. As a seller they offer no protection, and their customer service is non existent. My account was banned when I sold a pair of my old yeezy's and the buyer said they were counterfeit. So not only was I out a pair of authentic shoes, but they basically got the item for free!

The buyer basically lied and stated she received different items than what I actually sent... Mercari does not protect sellers from these type of scammers
