END THE MERCARI SCAMS

Had a very bad experience with macari took my cash and no item or refund not cool beware scam,,,

Mercari should be banned from the enter net! This app is ran by bunch of scam artists who does not have a searchable address online! They stole my money and deleted my account without warning! Accusing me of selling prohibited items such as Louis Vuitton bags which I purchased from the same app and resold it after I fixed the zipper and handles! Bunch of thieves!!!!

I was suspended and banned for listing authentic purses! They need to permanently be abolished from the web. Big scammers who take advantage of honest sellers and buyers.

Bought and sold tons of stuff the 1st 2 months. Then sold a liquid foundation and shipped myself (without a tracking number...my mistake) continuously attempted to get the buyer to respond to my messages and or rate me but they wouldn't. About 3 weeks in Mercari notifies me that they were canceling the order and refunding the buyer. I contacted customer service...3 days later my account was indefinitely suspended then the following day I received a response saying that I had already been warned about shipping without a tracking # so now my account would remain suspended. Once I read the message the whole conversation then deleted so I wasn't even able to respond. Thankfully, unlike some of these other unfortunate users, I was still able to have my balance transferred to my bank just not allowed to like, list, comment, sell, or buy. I really liked this app its an awesome thing to be able to sell/buy without any fees but there are major issues with the customer service ..or lack there of.

I was selling on this marketplace for nearly 2 months with no issues, except I made 2 mistakes: 1. I had a bundle of items and a user wanted to buy just one of them...a new item. I wasn't home to photograph just the one item, so I created a new listing and used a stock photo and the buyer purchased. Mercari nailed me for using only a stock photo. Yes, that was my fault, but I was trying to help a buyer, it was new, and they already saw a picture of the actual item I had. 2. I listed a knife and described it as 3-1/16" though I don't think it was over 3". It was NOT the kind one would choose as a weapon but a collector's item, but still I understand the restrictions and accept responsibility. Besides that everything was fine for almost 3 months, then one day, I had listed a few tempered glass phone screens. Each listing had one stock photo and one photo I took MYSELF that included a handwritten note in it. They were ALL removed and Mercari claimed I used all stock photos. I don't see how they deemed it as stock. Then after that, I started including a handwritten note with my store name and 'Mercari' in at least one of the photos I took myself on each listing, especially on new items, to help avoid the issue of users reporting me because they think my quality photos were stock images. That did not work. Note in it or not, a large amount of listings were being removed for "Using all stock images". In the warning message, they suggest contacting them if there was a mistake. I wrote many letters, sometimes lengthy, always explaining I ALWAYS use my own images. I would usually get a canned response: "your listing was removed for using all stock images". WTF? Did they read what I said? There's a handwritten note in it, I said. How could that be deemed a stock photo? This went on and on. I even took poorer quality photos (which I hated to do, as it's not in my nature as a marcom professional), but that didn't help enough. I think I may have been targeted by a malicious

They suspended my account because my sister had an avvoibt as well. We love aft the same address and use the same Wi-Fi so they assume I have 2 accounts. They suspended us both with no warning or any thing. I tried to email them and I just get an auto msg

Horrible place. It's a haven for scammers. They delete authentic items but have users with whole stores filled with fakes that are allowed to sell. It's all bought overseas from Alibaba and Aliexpress and then sold here on Mercari for absurd amounts. Many claim they are authentic! A fake belt they got for $10 they are selling as authentic on Mercari for $300. And mercari allows it. Why? Because that's who is paying them. No fees. No advertisements...where is the money coming from? The counterfiets. And don't expect the customer service to assist you or even care. They delete competition. They respond with only copy/pasted responses straight from their FAQ guides. Just consider where their money comes from. You have buyers who claim they never received an item despite tracking proof getting free refunds and keepong products. You have sellers sending fake or incorrect items and keeping peoples money. It's a lose / lose for honest people.

This app is horrible

Mercari is horrible company! they deleted all my signature items i listed even though proof of authenticy posted, but the let other seller sell fake, also the customer service is poor.

Mercari has stolen my money and inventory as well. They do not handle things properly. Most of the users i see complaining are just mad they got scammed by a seller on mercari or are mad because their accounts got deleted. Mercari can ban whoever they want to, its their app. However they dont handle things appropriately and violate the american law with some of their outcomes

Bad customer service! Criminal app

Mercari was a wonderful app. I used it for about a year. Until one day I was banned. I lost a total of $350. $100 worth which was already out of my house and on its way to the respective buyers. They cancelled those listings too. I lost the other $250 because I was waiting for transfer say which is on Sunday's before 5pm PST. To which they process on Monday and you get your money into your bank account. That $250 just sat in my account and all I could do was stare at it..I couldn't buy anything and they wouldn't let me transfer it to my bank because my account was "high risk". Then after a few days of messaging them asking what happened that $250 was as gone as the $100 I sent out the door. They kept telling me it's because I had multiple devices...then they changed it saying it was because I had multiple accounts..neither of which is true. Now what happened? A few days prior to these events, my phone spazzed out so I had to reset it. Upon turning my phone on I had to log back into every single app. Including mercari...so I lost $350 because I signed back in on my phone.

Will ban people for no reason and keep your pending sales money

Mercari should be banned forever. They have no customer service. they stole over $5k from me and have been trying to contact them ever since.

I was scammed out of $2800 recently from a buyer and Mercari did nothing about it.

I got ripped off by a seller Lis2582 she's selling fake Mac products she didn't even have to refund me cause Merc waited so long to get back to me & she has many complaints from other buyers at PayPal this is not rite not being able to trust your seller to sell you dupes or the real thing & mercari doesn't care!!!

Horrible company not even the bbb can contact them. I can't believe they can operate in the u.s. And are an app at the Apple Store.

They are allowing scammers to sell on their app and will not remove them just to keep as many sellers as possible.
