They scam people out of their money. Not to mention they will suspend your account for no reason and their customer service is non existent.

Total SCAM! Mercari illegally and fraudulently flags authentic items as "counterfeit" so they can wipe out sellers balances and steal honest sellers money. It's nothing more than a organized theft scheme. No recourse or opportunity to provide receipts after being "flagged", they just respond with the same copy/ paste message to every seller. 100's of positive feedbacks. No customer complaints of actually receiving anything counterfeit, just Mercari waiting until your ratings are up and balance is high so they can flag you, cancel all of your listings, block you and steal your earnings. I have saved screenshots of all my activity on Mercari . We all need to come together and file a class action multi million lawsuit against mercari for organized fraud, theft, defamation and future lost sales. Make sure you screenshot everything!

They stole my $98 which is not a good reputation.just beacuse i bought something and its not match for tbier guidline they can do whatever they want.i want to get rid of this site wichic is not fair.

They keep suspending me and then they apologize for the inconvenience and put my listing back up after the 24 hour suspension period is over.. I am afraid they will ban me and steal my money. I read their terms of service and I did not see anything that says it is ok for them to take your money.

I listed a 2 used samsung phones but labeled as counterfeit items. Then i listed a brand htc otterbox case that was bought from walmart then i got a message that it was a counterfiet. Then a few hours my account was suspended. I asked them for proof how these items being labeled as counterfeit but all i get was a copy-paste about the policy. I keep asking them over and over if they can provide me a proof untill they banned me.

I, too, had a really bad experience on Mercari. I used it for about a year, and I had nothing but great reviews on there about the authenticity and quality of my products. Not up until recently , that they started doing mass deletions of my listings , claiming that they're "prohibited" and /or "counterfeit"! I kept reposting items, and now I'm suspended indefinitely. Smh

They SUSPENDED my account for selling Herbal Grinders which I asked the Help Center if it was OK and they said YES!!!!! UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE.

Terrible. They allow buyers to leave unfair negative feedback and does nothing to help protect sellers. Buyer bought the wrong sized laptop cover for her 13" MacBookPro despite me mentioning in my listing that it's for the 12" MacBook. She then went on to give me a false negative rating when I refused to refund her and falsely accused me of misrepresenting my item by saying its a 12-13". It is NOT possible for a solid plastic case to stretch 1" so it really doesn't make her sound intelligent at all. What irks me is how MERCARI said they can not change a feed back from positive to negative (I wanted to change mine), and they told me to contact the buyer to change her rating for me. WHATTTT? Also, MERCARI kept giving me canned responses, and accused me of using abusive language/profanity when I have not. The only thing I said was probably my remark on how ridiculous this entire situation is. There were no personal attacks at all! I even took screen shots. And time and again they warned me (3 times) to not use abusive language when in all honestly the only abuse I witness is how buyers are allowed to abuse honest sellers like me. Oh, and they even said that if I continue this behavior I can get banned. NO MERCARI. If YOU continue this practice, you are totally getting sued for malpractice.

I already mentioned that I was the seller when one of their customer service personnel told me that "buyers should not rate sellers until they receive their product". Which has nothing to do with my situation? I clarified once that I'm the seller, and oh boy, the next message I received was the exact same 'advice'.

The worse app I've ever used. My account was revoked without any explanations. They said on one of my listings that it is a counterfeit. They cannot even explain to me why they said it's counterfeit. Told them I have receipts to prove the authenticity of my product.

Customer service is located in a different county! When there is something wrong they NEVER answer you and allow you to RESPOND back! The simply end the conversation and decide not to help!

I lost $300 only because buyer buy 4 rare games and i sell and the bueyr send mercari i send games nhl value maybe $4 and mercari send message sendme back and i resived the games nhl and not resived the rare games i send and i lost $300 for scammers and mercari never help and only help the scamer for more fraud mercari not have good support not have phone for contact and not have real adress only po box
