I was so excited to find this and got to see great collectables. And after awhile mercari would take my cards so I could buy something and then a few weeks later it works again. Right now I'm suspended from everything. I have the app and I can still get in my account and I've told people that I'm going to purchase to them in a sec. And this pops up and I'm trying to figure out what I did.

Mercari has some scammy practices. They do not even have an 800#. That in itself is a warning and alert.

My boyfriend was trying to sell our chair and got instant offers from three people, all saying the same exact thing, that they will send a check and send movers out ect. I told my boyfriend that that was a huge red flag and to delete the app immediately. One person sent him an email saying I sent out the check let me know when you get it. We got the check and it is clearly fake, has no security features at all and feels like printer paper. Do not use this app.

im seller too , mercari scam me for 3 item 1395.00 they dont respond to me ether through the app or Facebook or tweeter i ship all three item to different buyers then they cancel the transaction with no reason one of the buyer he/she already rate me but mercari hold the money

On the Mercari app. I sold a buyer that goes by SD5212 a Best of Bethesda Pinky Demon mini. The buyer claimed that I sent out the wrong mini and request a return from the help center. I know without a doubt that I sent out the right one.
After looking at the buyer profile, I notice he/she only sold 1 item and had 1 review. In the reviews I saw the person who purchased from SD5212 was OYPV. I clicked on the profile and noticed he/she had a Funko pop and mini want list, one of them being Pinky Demon high want, and the seller/buyer was from the same state.
I took a screenshot of the 2 Bethesda minis the seller had for sell because I knew what was about to happen. Sure enough, after the request was approved for buyer SD5212, OYPV unlisted one of the mini that was for sell. I know without a doubt that this is the mini I will receive back instead of the Pinky Demon I mailed out.
After providing this explanation and pics of this fraudulent account and scammer, the return request was still approved.

It's all a lie ! Fraud and they'll ban you from the site without releasing your orders and payment ! BS automated customer service no real protection . POSHMARK IS WAY BETTER they care commission I won't lie but it's buyer and seller protection on both ends literally FOLLOW ME : @hlondon22 invite code : PNOHV (gives you a 5$ credit (: )

I've sold over 200 items here and never had an issue until last week. I sold a purse for $225 that is supposed to be an authentic Celine but since it's from one of the people my mom had to evict from one of her houses I wouldn't know for sure so I listed it saying exactly that because I don't want to over price it if it isn't authentic or take too little if it was and the buyer got it and rated me and fed ex showed it was delivered so when I requested my direct deposit it put it on hold which was something I've never seen so I've reached out to them every day for 9 days already and no reply. I've done some research on Twitter and many people haven't heard from them for over 2 to 3 weeks with "holds" of $100 - $1,000 and they ignore us on Twitter. I'm guessing this is how they make their money to give away to people in their giveaways and credits. Be careful! I lost $225 and that's enough to make me not want to sell or buy here anymore. Mercari is a scam!!!! Why else would they not have a number to call? I'm done with this app and hope it gets shut down! it was too good to be true when they don't take commission.

It's all about the buyer - no protection for sellers. Yes there are bad sellers, but there are equally bad buyers looking to rip us little guys if where every penny matters. It has to protect both ways.

Yuh!! 2-3 WEEKS AGO THEY SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT AFTER I HAD SHIPPED OF 2 ITEMS IM TRYING EVERY POSSIBLE WAY TO GET MY ACCOUNT BACK OR CONTACT THEM BUT NOTHING HAS WORKED.

Mercari is very questionable. If they had a more easily accessible customer service I would have more faith in them, but they don't.
