Got scammed way too many times on this site! Mercari does nothing to protect. Users at all! Luckily I paid through PayPal! They along with Poshmark needs to be put out of business!

Horrible nightmare for sellers!!!! A scammers paradise for sure. Had a woman order a watch from me only to have buyers remorse or outright theft. But she never acknowledges that the item was delivered and when I finally asked her to rate she starts screaming fake! I told her I would be recording the opening of my return package because I'd heard of this scam before. The fact that Mercari allows returns without presentation of evidence from BOTH parties is sketchy as h*ll

They let 5 sales go through of mine then suspended my account and won't release my $1920. They are keeping it. This site needs shut down. So here's what I did. I took screen shots of all of their fake Louis Vuitton listings and sent about 20 to [email protected]. They responded within an hour and gave me more info as to where to report them. If I can't get my money I will do everything I can to hit them where it hurts. Pass this along. And good luck!!

took 500 out of my BANK ACCOUNT. Im a seller and have requested direct deposit so it obviously has my account info as well as I bought things using my card. I'm completely disgusted. SCAMMERS!!!

so my story is that i sold a part of my stroller (bassinet) worth 200 dollars i sold form good price of 50 dollars because i needed the money so the buyer revived the package and said it wasn't as described which it was, anyways the right thing to do is return my item but no they cancelled my item and let the buyer keep it and never gave me my money the also refunded the buyer so she kept the item and her money and i'm left with FLAT NOTHING!!!!!! DONT USE MERCARI!!!!!!!!!!

Was not allowed to return a CLOTHING item that DIDN'T FIT. Submitted return request Day 1 of receiving (within the 3 day B.S. return time frame). How is this business still operable with practices like these? Aside from the obvious customer service issue, seems like the FTC would/should shut them down based on all of the complaints and illegal activity.

Why is it that Poshmark can have deposit requests accepted and to my account in less than 24 hours (even in the weekends) but Mercari claims that it is at the very least a 15 day process, per request. Then penalizing me a 2.00 fee to give back MY money when a seller is unresponsive, on top of the wait.. Customer service is extremely unprofessional and automated. Mercari needs to be careful, they're getting a lil too greedy. Stay humble, remember, it's us, your customers, that feed your family.

Bought myself a $350 item on mercari. The seller gave me an empty box. Tried so hard to get my money back but she claimed I scammed her. I ran around getting information on the item for days, and mercari without a second thought gave all my money to this jerk even though I didn't finish with my claim. It's so clear she was in the wrong. There are so many unfortunate souls getting their hard earned money stolen by insolent slackers.

After I sold all of my items my balance was $65, they closed my account and stole all of my money. Have no way of getting it I guess. But this is definitely illegal. I spend $30 sending items off through the mail, so really they got me for about $100. DO NOT USE MERCARI. IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN
