Most people these days have some type of mental health issue, don't you think that it's time to stop the unasked for judgement and stigma and begin to help.

Girls bodies shouldn't be something to hide, in doing this you are teaching children that they shouldn't be proud of their body and they are shameful and unorthadox

Sexualizing young women is bad for both men and women. It teaches women that they are nothing more than sexual objects to men while also telling men they are prditors and are unable to control themselves.

Stop sexualizing girls, start teaching the male students to respect that girls can do whatever they want. And if a bra is distracting a male teacher, that's a whole other red flag.

if a fully grown man can look at a 12 year old girl and say her outfit is "seductive" and "distracting" it's not her problem-- it's his.

The fact that this petition is even necessary is ridiculous. The issue isn't what girls are wearing it's the fact that we are seen as objects to be looked at. A strap of fabric on an eleven year old girl should not be "distracting" to grown men who are solely there to educate these young girls. These adults should not even be thinking about anything relating to sex in regards to their students. It is absolutely atrocious that women and girls are scrutinized for the way they dress rather than men and boys being scrutinized for their belief that anything and everything is theirs to take.

100% agree but I know first hand that the stigma is not the problem it is the cuts and the lack of government funding

I am appalled that this is still an issue, schools need to understand that children don't sexualize other children. People who passed this dress code are the problem. I am proud to sign this.

Why must schools sexualize girls? Are we only are bodies to them? The first time I was dresscoded I was in middle school and I almost cried at how angry I was. I wanted the school board to get dresscoded for wearing regular clothes as well. It's just so unfair. I believe this also makes some of the boys think sexual harassment is approiate as many boys in my school will yell, "dresscode!" at girls whether or not they're following dress code. How can expect to evolve as a species if we are STILL stuck up on what a girl wears? How can we are any better than bored people trying to control something in our unfulfilling lives whether that be what a 11 year old girl wears or not? I am sincerely disappointed with our peers.
