This area is in need of the base and I would like to keep the base open as I utilize the base for all of my retiree benefits. The new hospital is outstanding and the area has been given a new life.
Thank you,
Nina

Ft. Benning does the training for both Armor and Infantry ,the first responders, to protect our country and allies around the world. Cutting back to 420,000 personnel will gut our ability to be fast responders in an ever increasing dangerous world.

Now is not the time for any reduction in force from the United States Armed Forces. If anything, we need to continue to increase our defense forces.

In a world that is full of turmoil and a lot of senseless murders happening on American soil now is NOT the time to decrease our military.

Standing up for jobs for soldiers and civilians is a necessary act to avoid an exacerbation of already high unemployment in the Columbus GA area. the outpouring of community support against sequestration was a powerful show of love for Fort Benning and its important role as an employer in Columbus. Let's make sure the Pentagon gets the message that the quality of life in Columbus will be seriously hurt by the loss of income from sequestration.

It is unbelievable to me that the Department of Defense would even consider downsizing at a time like this, with the terrorists at our doorsteps! A prime example is the recent killings of our Military in Chattanooga, TN! What are they thinking??
