Ft. Benning is a vital part of our community! The impact to Columbus without Ft. Benning would be devestating. Not to mention, we have a great deal of pride knowing we are partners with the greatest military institution in the nation...Ft. Benning!!!

The ripple effects the proposed drawdown would have on the entire community is astronomical. Not to mention the millions of wasted dollars already spent on improvements at Ft Benning. Ft Campbell just relocated to the Benning installation. Reducing troop strength at Benning would waste tax payers dollars. Consider smaller installations with less community impact and don't forget to ensure our safety with the rise of Isis.

With terrorists attacks occurring all around the world nearly on a daily basis, now is definitely NOT the time to cut our armed forces. Please look elsewhere to save money.
