Give it a rest Kirklees. Lindley is a small village, well used and if you start charging parking fees it will deter people and they may as well go to town to shop.

Please don’t kill our wonderful village by charging for parking.

We have already a parking problem in Lindley due to permit parking and very little available public parking. Some people have the cheek to park in private car parks. The parking problem will get a lot worse when this new hotel/ wedding venue opens as there is inadequate parking for the number of people that will visit or attend weddings.

Just another way to make money. Charge residents to have permits and now visitors to visit!

Introducing parking charges in villages like Lindley will kill off local traders.

Surely this will be a final nail in Lindley’s coffin. No, No, No or we will vote you out!

We need to support small independent businesses all we can. By introducing a parking fee in Lindley, potential customers to all businesses will be discouraged from visiting this thriving village.

Please do not get rid of the free parking. It will not only affect local businesses but the local community

It encourages people to visit the village if the hsve to pay it may stop them coming which will result in business not making as much money etc

Absolutely ridiculous. Do they want the shops to close like those in town.

If that car park isn’t free, residents such as myself will not be able to park our cars anywhere because the few non permit holders only streets will be heaving. Busses already have trouble turning on Brian Street because blue badge holders park on double yellows simply because they have no choice. And think of the school run... that’s already madness in the village... imagine if all the cars decided to stop on Hollybank road instead.. it’d be impassable.

There isn't enough parking in Lindley for shoppers as commuters park on adjacent streets during the day.
