This will have an adverse effect on all the small businesses on Lindley. I feel this space is used appropriately and a fee is not in the best interest of Lindley residents

As a business owner in Lindley it is imperative to have free parking in the village as most of the streets are permit only !!! Free parking allows the streets also to be less busy !!! This will cause chaos in the village which is under pressure on parking anyway and put people off coming !!! The Nail Studio Lindley !!!

Definitely do not want charges for parking in Lindley, will kill trade for all businesses who have worked so hard to make it a very lovely place to shop and eat.

I don’t agree with charging to park in Lindley, this is how you can kill trade for local businesses.

This car park needs to remain charge free. Most times I use this for a mere 5-10 minutes and there’s usually always a space. If charges are introduced, I guarantee the council will make less money than it takes to install a ticket machine as nobody will park here. There will be a significant impact on businesses meaning the council won’t get their taxes/rents as places will be forced to close. Think again Kirklees!

So typical of our council, same deal when they started charging to dump rubble, ridiculous. No doubt, someone fledglings bright idea. Can they anything right?

I believe the free parking is wonderful for trade and imposing charges will force people to unfairly park on residential streets. Having change available isn’t always easy either and many visits can be short 5 minute ones.

It would be very detrimental to cafes restraints, small businesses and the library if the car park was to start charging. It would also push people to park in already crowded residential streets. And would cause massive problems as school drop off and pick up times.

Leave Lindley alone! First all the surrounding fields are built on, therefore all village services are stretched and now the businesses will suffer too if this plan goes ahead.

Ivan rarely get into town and rely on quick shopping trips to Lindley plus visits to library and to pharmacy. For many older people , parking charges would add to already stretched budgets
Keep Lindley free of car park charges.
Trying to screw every last penny out of us.
