Apalling that there is even thought of placing car park charges in such a small village! Indie shops will be forced to close due to lack of trade. Lindley village is not the best to find an available car space but the village offers such a wide variety it makes it worth travelling up from the town centre. A friendly atmosphere all around. Well worth visiting and shopping there.

This is a short sighted solution and will just push people to park on side streets. If the Council needs to raise money beyond the government imposed limits let's have a local referendum and not raise tax by stealth. We need well-funded public services, lets have an open debate about that.

You will stop people from coming to Lindly , and will do the shop owners no favours ! , Take note and look at Huddersfield dying shopping centre ! Over charging for parking no one wants to shop there , not surprised ooads if shops are empty .
