Why discourage people from shopping locally?
This will only drive potential customers for the shops further into the hands of supermarkets where parking is always available at no charge. Don't kill the village.

Please don’t make to paid parking it’s the only free parking in Lindley there is no spaces on any of the roads in Lindley it’s just crazy. Can u at least try making the waste ground up Brain Street into a parking area too. Lindley is crying out for some more off road parking.

Lindley us thriving at the moment and many use the car park for short stays. Parking charges could affect this.

It's bad enough having to pay high park8ng prices in the town centres (one of the reasons they're dying), but to put a fee on parking in villages too would see a further killing off both for businesses & the people that use them. No thought has gone into the fact that the local village could be some people's life; they have no family to drive them anywhere & are too afraid or fragile to use public transport (which is also very expensive)

You will destroy local businesses if you introduce parking charges. Just look at the state of the town centre. We need to be looking after & encouraging local businesses.
