Ridiculous. We have no spare money anyway. Stop ruining our town!

Don't think Kirklees like people going shopping. How much are all these parking meters going to cost and extra traffic wardens?

It's tough enough for local businesses as it is. This would simply keep people away and lead to the demise of the high street. Please don't be responsible for that happening in lovely Lindley.

I think this would be very damaging to library users and local business

Charging for parking in Lindley and surrounding areas, will destroy them all. You may as well just close all the shops.

Lindley is now thriving again after years of people choosing to shop/eat/drink elsewhere. This is a blatant money grabbing exercise, to boost the coffers from a community working together to build a future. We need to encourage traders & the wider public not put them off.

Another nail in the coffin, cant find a space to park in Lindley to do any shopping because of the people leaving their cars and using their free bus pass to go to town. These passes have been given to residents of the new estates around here.

The will severely hurt the local economy and cause yet more congestion on streets in the village. Please think again.

We should be helping not hindering local businesses

Limit the time but keep it free. It will destroy local businesses footfall and cause more on road parking!

It is a well used car park for local residents and visitors to the village. Please think of the small business owners that make Lindley such a lovely place. Charges will limit their customer numbers and unfortunately would impact on shop viability. Kirklees please plan for the long term and keep the car park free of charge. Also change the derelict site at Thorncliffe street. Brian street and Thomas street into another 2 hour car park.

Popping to the shops in lindley and marsh is really easy with the free car parks. If you make them pay and display it will definitely put me off shopping in these areas.

We visit our grandchildren in Lindley and would not like to see free parking go

My business would be affected. We have children and parents that come to visit and rely in free parking. If these plans go ahead my small business would suffer and could close me down. All parking on the street by me is permit holders only so we rely on these car parks

I come here a quite few times in the year to visit manjo Home Eric’s and the snug... it’s such a lovely little place don’t spoil this little town by putting charges in! It’s hard enough parking around there as it is, which is why it’s x town that’s still doing well.

People should be encouraged and enticed to shop locally, not put off. Don't put up another barrier to stop people using our local independent shops. We will all be worse off if they start to disappear.
