Please support our efforts to get congressional support for research and prevention of Ocean Acidification.

What is Ocean Acidification?

When there is a surplus of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the CO2 reacts with seawater creating hydrogen ions. This excess hydrogen causes the pH of the ocean to decrease over time. With the lower pH, the corrosion of seashells and marine life occurs.

What does this mean for the world?

- The seafood industry would be at a loss of revenue.

- Certain marine life would become extinct.

- Coral reefs could become non-existent.

Please sign our petition and help notify congress that this IS an issue.

We must all work together to make a change in the world, a simple signature can go a long way.

Thanks to all who support the cause!
