Sometimes the ones in my neighborhood sound like gunshots and are so loud the windows rattle. It is creating anxiety for so many people and pets, disturbing sleep, and keeping us all on edge. We deserve tranquility!

Almost all of the fireworks in York City are being deployed unlawfully because they are being detonated within 150 feet of occupied structures, in the direction of cars and houses, and often after outside of the time parameters set for in the regulation. Legalizing fireworks without regard to enforcing their use has been a disaster for the city. It's been traumatizing to veterans, children, shift workers and pets. York City should make all fireworks unlawful within city limits.

Don’t mind them at an actual holiday but night after night for weeks, at all hours of the night must stop.

I have special needs children who are being greatly affected by people in near by houses setting off fireworks regularly.

My dog jumped out the second story window in May because of fireworks. It is a nightly ritual now to keep him calm and safe.

I live in York pa. This has been an ongoing issue for years. Our street is continuously bombarded with the sounds of fireworks often until the am hours. This also has become a safety issue. Most of the homes here are older most homes are attached fires are a real threat to our neighborhood.

Had 4Wks, to hear Fireworks in City York, Dog about to Die. Me almost had Heart Attack due to Bomb Big out side my House, this goes on all Night.I Do Have A weak Heart(72yrs, old) goes on for for about 8hrs. Please Help

Fireworks every single night until all hours. Police say there is no way to enforce noise and safety regulations. Essential workers can't sleep. Loosening restrictions on fireworks sales was a failed experiment; please repeal!

Residential neighborhood use needs to stop. Some of our citizens are not compassionate or empathetic enough to take care of this issue on their own.

There have been fireworks going off all over and at at odd hours for a month. The last several nights over the past weekend have been beyond the pale. Fireworks nearly continuously from dusk to 4 am. Not just one location, but all over. Random timing, sound coming from the left, right, in front of, and behind. This, on top of continuous street construction noise and house shaking throughout the day and we have been reduced to 3 hours of peace, 4am-7am, per day. Calls to the police dispatch line are met w busy signals, answering machines, and when you finally get through, detached mild annoyance.

Our property butts up against a parks property and there are fireworks every single night. Cats are stressed, humans are stressed.

There are loud fireworks being set off everynight where I live. They wake us up in the middle of the night. Police are unable to handle this issue for multiple reasons: it's hard to locate the source; those setting the fireworks off can easily move to another location; and there aren't enough police available to handle this issue. I'm afraid someone will get hurt by an amateur handling fireworks, or that a fire will be started. The noise is stressful especially to those with PTSD, children and animals. I would ask that we return to creating more stringent laws for these powerful fireworks as we had done in the past. It's an issue of both safety and quality of life for those of us living in PA.

Thanks! My neighbors were setting off mortars Saturday night!!! At least 20 of them. One fell over and shot against their house and explaoded, another landed in the other neighbors yard! And they have their little kid outside helping!!!

I agree! Fireworks are shot off almost every night and late at night. I just moved from Missouri and in our small town they could only be shot off July 1-5.
My dog can't stand them
