I also am tired of hearing fireworks all of the time during the summer months & almost every holiday. July 4 is fine. I wish PA would adopt stricter laws like they have in NJ

So harmful to wildlife, pets, not to mention veterans & others with ptsd. PA needs to go back when just small celebratory paraphanalia was legal.

This law is disgusting and money driven. The fact fireworks can be set off all year long is insane to me. My neighbors constantly set them off near my trees and home. I have no peace. My animals are terrified. The government clearly doesn’t have our best interest in mind.

Please!! I just saw the stories about the toxic heavy metals they release and how they get absorbed by the soil. Look up fireworks and heavy metals and also fireworks and soil and air contamination. It explains how they leach into the soil and then plants absorb them. Ok, so if you grow tomatoes in your yard and you eat them you're now eating the contaminants from the fireworks. Seriously?? Not to mention that It's recommended for people with health conditions to wear an n95 for 48 hours if they're near them. Not to mention what they do to our pets.
So this is a public health issue, an environmental issue and a quality of life issue. Can we please go back to the days where people gathered at a designated area...usually a wide open space to watch them. Letting anyone set them off in residential areas seems pretty crazy at this point.
Here's an excerpt:
Fireworks also release a large amount of other air pollutants, particularly sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide alongside particulate matter. Heavy metals, which give fireworks their bright colours, are also often toxic and tests in mice have shown particulate pollution containing these can be harmful
Fireworks can contaminate plants in a number of ways, including:
Debris
When fireworks explode, debris can settle on leaves, which can impact photosynthesis. Debris can also land on the ground, changing the soil's chemical composition and nutrient availability for plants.
Chemicals
Fireworks contain many chemicals, including perchlorate, heavy metal salts, and oxidizers. Perchlorate can contaminate soil and water, and can be absorbed by nearby plants. Heavy metal salts, like lithium, sodium, calcium, and strontium, react with oxygen to create greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change. Fireworks can also release other chemicals into water, including aluminum, barium, chlorine, copper, iron, and potassium.
Litter
Fireworks are made of plastic, and debris can be difficult to clean up afte

Neighbors set them off very close to people's homes and cars.
Very loud and even makes the house shake!
Causes anxiety and stress to animals and people.
It's not safe and too loud !
When we ask the neighbors to please stop after hours of noise and it's like 11 PM.
Instead they directed the fireworks directly at our house and it was so bright and extremely loud !
That happened last year! Right now from all directions we have people setting off loud fireworks And cherry bombs. Our dog has been anxious all day even with medication and keeping fan on and tv turned up.
We are stressed out too!
Fireworks should be done only by professionals and far away from town and people's homes .

My dog is extremely frightened by this constant noise over the holidays. The enjoyment of the person setting them off no way is worth the harm ,fear etc it causes others. Couples with the dangers of causing damage to others properties and in this hot weather and heatwaves the danger of fires. Anyone who wants to se them can go to a public venue where they are carefully set off away from people and properties. The allowance of everyone to be setting these off without proper space and training is completely disrespectful towards the millions of people and pets who want to avoid them and can't. There is no reason to allow this.

Please ban consumer fireworks so we can have our peace back. It isn't fair to those of us who don't enjoy the sound of bombs going off to have to listen it to it night after night.
