Action or non-action taken by the Ont. Gov. to end this act of discrimination against seniors will certainly dictate how seniors vote in the next election.

Over and above retesting seniors above age 80, drivers who have been involved in accidents and/or impaired driving and/or traffic violations #'s to be determined should undergo some type of driver training and written & driving test to ensure they meed the Ministry of Transport rules & regulations, because there are too many drivers on the road today that would surely fail the written & driving test if they were to be retested no matter what age.

It is more urgent to test most of our provincial Politicians and heads of agencies. They cause a lot more deaths and problems than seniors

I agree that the medical doctors ability to recommend removal of drivers licence is sufficient

This law is not only discriminatory, but was enacted under false pretences, that the Elderly Drivers are a significant traffic risk of all Driver groups. All major statistics , including the Ontario Ministry of Transportations, show year after year, that the elderly drivers have fewer accidents, and as they age, have fewer still. Ed. Rockburne.

Older drivers have more experience, skills and abilities to drive safely. The practice of an MD revoking a patient who is no longer able to drive, is already in effect .

I agree wholeheartedly that this is a discrimanatory practice and should be eliminted. Doctors should be the ones who have the knowledge to determine the physical and mental capacity to drive when there is no other reason for the government to step in, such as following an accident or traffic violation.

Some should be tested but at gov't expense
