This is pure discrimination according to the Human Rights Act.

End discrimination against age and do not adopt the dementia test. Only doctors should have a say on a patient.

The ontario government created a conflict position when it involved Bonny Dobbs in the study group on older drivers. Ms Dobbs stands to gain financially should the results of the study favour further testing of older drivers. She and her husband own two companies that will likely be involved in the testing of the older drivers. As a result Ms Dobbs has a vested interest in the results of this study. Thus the Ontario Government is being negligent and complicit by involving Ms Dobbs in this study.

I think the province is clearly in a conflict

Road testing would work much better but the whole idea is discriminatory just based on a person's age.

Stop discriminating on age. Why not test everyone every few years.

The age factor is irrelavent. Physical and cognitive ability is the only assessment required. The Simard test does not meet the professional standard. Strictly a commercial endeavor .

And none of the statistics available to me indicate a necessity for this

Further,ONLY medical assessment should be employed, at any age. Sanctions for drink driving accidents are much too lenient.

This bureaucratic process is discriminatory and subject to linquistic competences and Examiner judgments...not related to physical competence of driver.

This policy is unacceptable discrimination. Such practice should be based on driving record - not age discrimination.

I agree this is discrimination. I have had 3 tests already and I wonder why are tax dollars are wasted on this. There should be a better way than this.
