There are several assumptions in the reporting forms that are wrong. e.g.: cognitive impairment is a very broad term and does not of itself indicate problems that effect driving. There are no national standards for evaluation as mentioned in the forms. age is stereotyped as a degenerative disease that affects everyone the same way. rather than a stage of life

I'm 71 and I have a clean driving record. My doctor is so busy now, so how in hell is he going to be able to make time for driving license medical appointments. And what about people who do not have a doctor? This is discriminatory against older people just based on age alone. Every reckless, fast driver I see on the road is always a young person. They are more a hazard!!! Just recently there have been accidents whereby a young person has had an collision with another vehicle and have killed whole families.

I have had my drivers license removed even though 3 eye doctors have stated my vision passes all Ontario test requirements

Again,we are about to lose some of our freedom.Another added axpense of $250 Dollars that we should not have to pay..We are already living in poverty on our old age pention..We have to make a stand and stop them!

The States just did a very comprehensive study that said older drivers are SAFER than any other group. A reliable study which should be looked at further for us!!!!

The province contributed to the premature death of my late father at age 81 whose licence was cancelled because he could not see the colour red very well. He was an excellent driver with no accidents. He new the stop lights by the position of the stop light and also the stop signs because of their shape and wording. He passed the driving portion with flying colours but the ministry insisted to cancel. He had just bought a new car and loved his day trips with my mother. They lived where there was no public transportation and had to sell their house which they loved. Unable to drive and paint the country side which was his hobby, he just gave up living. Thank you Ontario. Stop this nonsense.

Because Doctors are legally responsible for advising MTO of any deficiencies they encounter; this lecture and test is insulting and unnecessary.

THIS DISCRIMARY ACT SOUNDS LIKE 1984. BIG BROTHER IS REALLY WATCHING US. GRANTED SOME SENIORS SHOULD BE TESTED WHEN A DOCTOR SEES THE SIGNS OF DEMENTIA. MIND YOU, BECAUSE DOCTORS GET A FEE FOR PULLING A DRIVERS LICENSE IT SEEMS TOO EASY FOR SOME OF THEM TO ONLY THINK OF THE MONEY.
