End Commercial Drift Net Interception of Thompson Steelhead.

Stop the destruction of the Thompson River steelhead

I support banning net fisheries in the Fraser River that would intercept Steelhead as a by catch.

Like John Gibson stated, netting in tributaries only could help tremendously. Mainstem Fraser River non-selective netting has to stop. Save the Thompson River Steelhead from extinction!

DFO do your job! Stop this interception and preserve this species you are entrusted with protecting

Gill net interception of Interior Fraser Steelhead (Thompson, etc.) must be stopped/changed.

Please, save our fisheries so my kids and grandkids will also be able to enjoy

Possibly move the nets to the tributaries?

It is unthinkable that our provincial and federal governments have let the Thompson, a world renowned steelhead river, come near extinction.

Steelhead are a world renowned sport fishery do not let them be exterminated.

The unselective fishery at the mouth of the Fraser River should be stopped to allow Thomson River Steelhead to make their way up the river to spawn

It is a travesty that this has gone on for so long with virtually nothing being done to protect these amazing fish. And nothing being done to attempt to bring the run back to where it should be.

This is a virtual life and death issue for the Thompson Steelhead. Changes to fisheries methods must be made to assist their survival. Please act.

Thompson steelhead brought me to Spences Bridge 42 years ago and I have fished and lectured in many places in NA and Europe but none matches the splendour of the wild resource that has been squandered here.

First and most important action is to ban these nets!
