This was my devastating experience 19 years ago when I delivered by child prematurely after 2 weeks from our arrival here in BC. Please end the 3 month wait period for the immigrants to access health care.

Some immigrants might becin need of health care urgently. Ending the 3 months should have been done a long time ago.

It’s an additional scare as newcomers in a new country since travel insurance (with additional cost) might not be enough for posted emergency hospital fees...we prayed for good health for 3 months

My dad had a serious emergency shortly upon arrival caused by the stress of the migration to a new country. He didn't want us to call the ambulance to take him to the hospital as it was very expensive without the health coverage. He could have died. Noone should go through this.

If the person already decided to establish in the province, there shouldn't be a wait to have a human right!

There should be no waiting period for the new permanent residents.

This is not in anyone’s best interest. Helping people get and stay healthy helps us all.

Maintaining the three month waiting period is both inhumane & false economy.
