We all seem to know that women and girls have periods every month. It's common knowledge, right? But do we really know the blood injustices we are all part of? Menstruation is a huge factor in a maturing woman's life, what's astonishing however, is how the world has decided to make this biological routine such a shameful thing - even though, almost half of the world is bleeding every month; how unjust this is! We all contribute to society's system of treating periods as a taboo topic, but this must stop.

All of those who menstruate, wherever they live, experience challenges when managing their period. These might include a lack of products, toilet or disposal facilities, enduring pain, inability to attend school or being restricted from activities and locations.

Our petition is aimed at bringing awareness to the struggle that young girls in school experience, this should be seen as an inconvenience to schools as the consequences affect the quality of education and amount of sick days that majority of girls have on average.

Our ultimate goal for this cause is to hopefully reach authority within the NSW Department of Education and pitch the idea of supplying menstrual products and facilities to schools, as well as adequate education on the topic of periods. If this effects you, or you believe the injustice of this topic must change, it would be appreciated if you would take the time to sign this petition.

Thank you.
