Employers for Refugees

A good program that helps good people find good jobs; great for the people they help and great for the employers looking to hire.

We count on these refugees; they are hard working and nice.

I would like t support this petition. we employ refugees and believe this program should not be cancelled.

One of the few programs that doesn't just give "handouts." It actually helps refugees find work

RIC-AAU employment team has been doing an amazing job helping many refugees and immigrant population in Utah to be able stand on their feet. Please continue funding the program.

I worked as an employee case manager at AAU for 3 years and I saw first hand the trememdous good the employee services program does both for refugees and the broader utah economy. Many jobs would go unfilled, a waste of producrivity and economic capital if it wern't for this program. During the recession, this program helped refugees get off welfare and contribute to the tax base. Please save this program

This program is vital to the lives of our refugees. We have partnered with the Asian Association and other community partners in employing hundreds of refugees over the years. This program provides richness and diversity to our communities and supports both employers and refugees in becoming self-sufficient. I request that you continue to support this program and the lives of our refugees.

For the past 3 years, we have relied on the services of the Asian Association of Utah and have hired more than 100 employees whom they have referred to us. We hope that you will find a way to continue this essential and vital program that services the needs of worthy refugee individuals as well as many businesses like us.

This program is vital to the success of Refugees becoming self sufficient as they adapt to a new culture.

I have worked with refugees for 6 years now and I can tell you that this program is vital! Not only for the associate for the community. Many wouldn't have the jobs that they do to provide for their families. In turn, they are using less government resources such as food stamps, housing assistance and the like. Our refugees want to work and are better workers than most. This program goes, the ripple effect will be devastating our community, state and country.

I know that this program is a very great thing. I love being able to find these refugees jobs all over Utah. They work so hard when you get them jobs. Please don't get rid of this program.

The AAU is a vital part of the SLC community and they have been able to provide well-qualified candidates in the past. I've worked with several AAU Employment Services employees and they all go the extra mile for the employees they serve.

RIC - AAU has helped many, many people find jobs and become contributing members of the Salt Lake community. Please continue funding for services.
