Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; this is what is promised us as American citizens, and for those around the world, it is what draws them to our shores. For over two centuries the American experiment has flourished with the idea of the American dream, where if you work hard and obey the law the limit of your success is only bound by the limits of your imagination. The humblest of these ambitions is that of owning your own home, your own piece of land. Property ownership is one our most valued rights as American citizens; a place to call your own, to raise your family, and pass on through the generations. Now it would seem with the United States Supreme Court Decision in KELO ET AL v. I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam but here we are and it really makes me rethink how much people actually care about their front doors and the land under their feet. It is wild to see this moving so fast because honestly I was just angry when I typed this up late one night and now it feels like maybe we can actually stop these local governments from grabbing at our homes for their own profit.

This is total theft. My house is mine and the government has no business handing it over to developers just so they can collect more taxes.

Fix this. No one should be forced out of their own home for some corporate project.

Unbelievable. What happened to private property rights? They really think they can just take whatever they want now?

KELO was a massive mistake. Get it changed before more families lose everything.

End eminent domain abuse! It is basically legalized robbery.
