As a homeowner of Emerald Forest I urge the College Station City Council NOT to approve rezoning the Corsair parcel of land from Light Industrial to General Commercial for the Wingate Hotel development.

I am directly affected by this and am considering suing the city.
Please STOP rezoning Emerald Forest to allow a hotel to be built. This will ruin the integrity of our neighborhood. We have over $800,000 invested in our home (structure only) allowing a hotel so close will be the end of ever getting a fair market value for our home.

Flooding is a real and imminent danger in Emerald Forest due to the decline of Bee Creek. This is not a "fear of development" as the P&Z members believe. Please vote against any rezoning until the Bee Creek problem is addressed.

I don't think adding more concrete and asphalt while creating new buildings in the area mentioned by the petition can be done until drainage issues are addressed and fixed.
