I oppose these two developments. Will bring too much traffic, crime, and will destroy our neighborhoods.

As a Realtor, my perspective from seeing what is going on currently in this area, it isn't going to increase home values but rather, all these poorly constructed new builds are actually devaluing some resale homes - particularly historic ones because everyone wants the bright and shiny things and the latest on-trend of the moment. It is not sustainable. People move out of metro ATL or from wherever to this part of the county for the very reason to have some space between others. Changing the landscape, creating new permeable surfaces is just a recipe for not only the above mentioned concerns, but an environmental disaster. More concrete, less trees - higher temps, habitat destruction. And so it goes on. I see it everyday. It's all about the money. So terribly sad. I oppose.

This is the area we chose to live and raise our family. We did not want to live in a congested area with many houses and townhomes. This proposed plan will be devastating to the east side of the county, causing long time residents to move.

If we wanted extremely high density we would have moved to eastern Newton County, Rockdale or Gwinnett county. Leave our master zoning in place. NO EXCEPTIONS!

We moved to the Eastside of the county years ago because it was less developed , you built a new high school because the other one was overcrowded, now you want to build more subdivisions and apartments so more people will move to thi s area and over crowd the new school, more traffic,ect

This type of development is too dense and does not add long term value to the east side. There needs to be a more comprehensive study completed that would show why this type of development is needed and the long term benefits. Additional input from the public is needed, with almost no input from the Newton County Commissioners should be requested to ensure the County Commission isn’t allowed to overdevelop the east side that has large private tracts of land and large amounts of agricultural production. Dense developments and agricultural production -(small to mid size farms) don’t always mix well when they are within close proximity. Georgia needs small farm production and especially cattle producers. Our commissioners may not understand the importance of the small to mid size farm on the state economy and food production. As I mentioned earlier, a broader evaluation of east side development is needed before these approvals are given.

I don’t care for these 15 minutes city concentration camps… They would be killing farm space, Wildlife space, No one wants these nasty structures.. The dream of owning your own home and land is dying because of people like them.
