We the undersigned do by our signatures request that the Elk Grove Sphere of Influence Amendment application be denied for the following reasons: 1) There is no need for an expanded SOI a) There exist within the current city boundaries 8000 +/- acres of undeveloped or underutilized land b) There is existing vacant industrial, office, and retail space of approximately 400,000 +/- square feet 2) The justification for growth is based on outdated, overly optimistic growth projections that were prepared during the peak of the market 3) The Water and Sewer agencies have not master-planned for the SOI area and determined its cost impact to the existing and future rate payers 4) Home equity and property values will continue to suffer if unneeded new lands for development are opened up

The projections are totally outdated. Real estate isnt the same as it was ten years ago stop acting like it is.

My property values are already down enough. Stop building new homes out in the sticks while the city center stays empty.

Enough with the sprawl. We have thousands of acres sitting empty right now so why are we building more?

Please listen to the residents. We dont want our taxes going up just so developers can build on more farmland.
