Elise Mashni for SBA President

Hi everyone!
For those who may not know me (but let’s be honest, you probably do from my many emails), my name is Elise Mashni, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for SBA President for the 2025-26 academic year. It has been an honor to serve as SBA Secretary this past year, as well as 1L Class President before that, and I am eager to continue advocating for our student body in an even greater capacity.
From day one, my goal has been to foster a stronger, more connected, and more supported law school community. As Class President and later SBA Secretary, I have worked to ensure that student concerns are not only heard but actively addressed. Whether coordinating with faculty and administration on academic issues, organizing events that bring us together, or streamlining communication between students and leadership, I have remained committed to prioritizing the needs of our school and making meaningful contributions to our experience. I have also served as a reliable point of contact for students, ensuring their concerns were communicated and addressed effectively.
While holding these leadership roles, I have seen firsthand the power of proactive advocacy and transparent communication. From tackling unexpected challenges that impacted our class to ensuring our voices reached decision-makers, I have never hesitated to step up and fight for what we deserve. I have taken initiative in planning and executing key events, strengthening student engagement, and promoting inclusivity across our law school. These efforts are not just responsibilities to me—they are a passion.
As SBA President, I want to build upon this foundation by further amplifying student voices, enhancing our academic and social experiences, and strengthening relationships between students, faculty, and administration. My goal is to ensure that every student feels supported, heard, and empowered.
I am grateful for the trust and support you have given me over the past two years, and I hope to continue serving you as SBA President. Let’s work together to make this next year the best one yet!
