I have taught and coached for 41 years. This would be a stretch for classroom management in PE. It is assinine to even begin to think of assigning 30 plus students to one academic classroom. Keep your numbers low to assure a quality education for these students.

My mom applied for me to be transferred to Eliot as it is an outstanding school. I was in the class of 1982. Loved my teachers that spent extra time with students so that they could help spark the thirst for knowledge. Some of my best memories are from grade school. I still remember each teachers' name and cherish my 6th grade class shirt. All of these children are precious. Please share this with everyone you can!! I will!

High student count per class is unacceptable. For all our students and teachers, Eliot and beyond. Don't hurt learning with over crowding.

This is an urgent appeal to keep Ms. Nicholson, one of our 4th grade homeroom and Science teachers, and prevent her from being re-assigned to another school. Due to inadequate funding by the Oklahoma state legislature, Tulsa Public Schools was forced to “re-balance” it’s teachers, and determined that Eliot is to lose a teacher at the 4th grade level. By keeping Ms. Nicholson, we will not only retain a valued teacher, but also maintain class sizes near 20 instead of close to 30. As a former teacher in Tulsa, I can tell you having 30 in a classroom is not good! Everyone suffers...students, teachers, and parents! Please don't allow this to happen at Eliot!

30 kids per class for 4th grade is absolutely ridiculous. Creating larger classes just leads to more chaos and challenges for both teachers & students. Please find some other way to cut money from the budget. Cutting the money where it impacts the students the greatest is NOT the answer.
