To be a server/bartender is task that not everybody can accomplishe on a daily basis. It takes great people skill, hard work and constant focus in order to maintane an excellent customer satisfaction. That is what we do, we make sure to give a excellent customer satisfaction, by making sure no matter what your characteristical differences are, we will still treat you like equals by making sure we take the weight of work and daily life off your shoulder for a few hours and make you feel slightly happier. We can say we are kinda your daily therapist.
In order for us to maintane a positive attitude, we work with the fact that no matter how hard and stressful it is to serv customers, by the end of the day, we too will feel accomplished from our work by taking home a good tip, (depending always on how the night goes) to pay all our bills and take away some of weight and worries from our shoulder. We are here to build a future for ourselves and by taking away our tips, you will just draw away our dreams farther they already are. Only bad results will follow for this uneccesary act of business, starting a chain of reaction built on turning the restaurant/bar business into a disaster. Theirs no need in deeping into results, because even if you have a slight education, you can put together a puzzle of nothing but wrong results.
Thank you, hope together we make the right decision for all of us.

Be aware. You not only affect the restaurant industry if this bill passes. You affect anyone who services restaurants. Food and beverage companies. Linen supply companies. Cleaning services. These businesses as well as their employees could be affected negatively if this bill passes. The state of CT cannot afford more negativity.

These tips are our income. It's like someone taking away your very hard earned weekly, or biweekly pay and giving you $9 an hour. No one can live off of that. Please don't do this and put more people, and families on the streets

Taking away the tip means taking away customer service. If you want all your restaurants to have staff that doesn't care about the experience or the atmosphere of dinner, pass this bill. Otherwise keep the system as is and people will continue to enjoy their special nights out to dinner.

Keep over-taxing the people and driving them out of the state. I was born and raised here, worked since I was 16, own a house and property, and this is getting downright ridiculous.

I work at Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford. If servers and bartenders don't get tipped, or end up with minimum wage, I truly believe the quality service we give will be greatly compromised. We get tipped because we work hard and we care.
