This is so wrong, I've worked in the restaurant industry for about 7 years now, we rely on our tips!!! Don't take this away from us, you already took gratudity off and sometimes people don't tip at all!!!

This will put resraueants and it's employees out of jobs. You will also see a decrease in customer service. It will negatively effect the industry across the board

I work at Max Dowtown in Hartford, CT. Although I am not yet a server, I work WITH the excellent serving staff at our restaurant who work extremely hard on a daily basis to give the best service they can to guests. Everyone I work with works hard to earn the tips they make and for many servers I personally know, they have mortgages and numerous bills in which they rely on the tip money they make in order to pay. This bill passing would be of harm not just to myself and my co-workers, but to their families and children they support, to the pace of which guests come in to eat, and quite frankly to the entire restaurant business in Connecticut. I strongly recommend that more consideration is given towards the people that this bill would personally affect.

They need to educate themselves, do some research, and either keep the way it is now ($6.07/hour plus tips) or propose a plan where servers get paid $15-$25/hour. Servers work too hard to earn minimum wage. If you look at the average tax return for a server their income isn't that high and typically below the poverty line. Don't do this!!

Tips are a large part of how restaurant employees are able to make a decent living. This is also how many people support themselves through college. I would like to see those who support this try and live off of the same salary and then be told it will be decreased. This is not acceptable and inconcidaret.

Is CT racist to its population that makes under a certain income? CT is always trying to make it more difficult to live their for those that are not wealthy. Why don't they just purpose a disclaimer for the state that says "if you do not fall in the high class bracket of society, CT does not welcome you or want you here. CT will do everything to make your life harder including charge you higher taxes, not allow you to be paid for hard work, and create anxieties in you that you never knew even existed. CT is my home state, however I am currently checkin in on it from a far as I moved a year ago in search of a life where I can actually support myself and didn't have to stay in an abusive relationship where I was told everyday that I would never be able to survive without a man who can make money. CT supports that narrow minded thinking if it passes another thing that hinders individuals to be able to work hard and be paid for it. If 12 fourth graders studied hard, put in the effort to learn and passed a test with an A, while the 6 remaining students in the class choose not to care and scored an F, the teacher wouldn't say, well the class average is a B- so everyone will just be awarded that B-, correct? Common sense CT, come on. Please stop pushing out people who want to love their state!

WTF is wrong with you-thousands of people will lose are large percentage of their income-you are destroying people's lives!!! there are many states out there (like california) who don't do this!!!

Stay out of people's pockets and lives my daughter who works very hard for nearly nothing relies on tips to make her living, why do you mess with some of the hardest working people !!!! To serve means to be bright and pleasant and responsible and always on, show some respect, you try to do it!!!!
