Elimination of Tip Credit - Employee Wages: House Bill 7084

I work at the Ninety Nine and if this passes it will do nothing but negatively impact me, my coworkers, and this company !

My team members are the hardest working people who care about their job and their guests, This proposal does nothing but negatively affect those that work hard to support their families. Thank you

I need my tip money my family depends on it u will hurt our pockets and families please don't do this

I can not afford for them to change my wages as I've had and still do have many health issues. I make just enough to survive and if you take that away I will be forced to loose my house.

This job pays my bills and I wont be able to survive if you take tips away. This is how we support our families. Please don't do this to us.

This is wrong. Waiters should be able to get tips for their service or they won't care about their service. I thinks it's wrong that they even have to report tips at all. Look at what the restaurants pay them. Come on people get it together. I'm not a waiter just so you know!

Terrible,State of Ct. is shameful,they want you to pay,pay pay but you can't even get what you deserve. Who remembers when Weicker got elected for saying NO Income Tax and in less then 6 months he had it in place,politicians lying sacks. Oh let's not mention the casino revenue that was for Education that now is not there. This state is like crazed QVC addict spending foolishly and getting very little in return.

Earning gratuities keeps the challenge of providing professional service and knowledge of products in the forefront.

This is an idiotic proposal and will not solve anything and in turn will cause any service staff to make a far less hourly wage.

Don't try to fix anything that's not broken. For a very long time cash has been replaced with credit cards, if tips were such a big issue the government can actually do it's job and look into certain individuals who don't claim their tips. I've been in the restaurant for over 10 years doing everything from host, to serve, tending bar to managing. Most systems now keep track of the individual's tips and actually claim it for them if they "forgot". Most people are in the restaurant business because they have a personality and have a certain amount of patience to deal with the general public, not to mention a high level of multi tasking skill. Taking tips away will just get below customer service people who don't care about the level of service being given because they will receive the same amount of money anywy. People go out to wine and dine, so to speak, to get good service and give gratuity to that individual because they left satisfied and happy. If this bill is passed, I don't deny restaurants being closed down because of the level of service was unacceptable which then people stop coming there to eat, regardless of how great their food is. This will result in the decline of small businesses and tax revenue across the board, which I'm sure will be bad for politics. I'm asking, if not begging not to change the restaurant tips system.
