Stop taxing us to death!!!

Servers work hard for their tips! Don't take that away!

The only way and I stress only way that employees working in the restaurant business are able to make ends meet and provide for their family are from the tips they make.

This would change the dining for not just servers and bartenders but for those who dine as well. Experiences will not be like they once were if workers are making only minimum wage. Every place will feel like you're eating at a fast food restaurant.

Thank you. We don't want minimum wage. We work hard to provide customers with a great experience, taking tips away will take away and generalize the customer experience

I've been a server for most of my life. You could call it my career. I rely on my Tips, and the tips that I work hard for, to pay my bills and for things with my small child. Passing this bill, will affect the restaurant industry in such a negative way that will affect me paying my bills. For those working in a restaurant, that aren't getting at least the minimum wage from their employer, should find another restaurant to work at. I've worked at restaurants like those, and have bettered myself and my skill to work in a restaurant where I can average $20 an hour. Why should the rest of us be penalized for those who aren't getting the right amount from their employer? They have the choice to go work somewhere else, just as I did before I improved my own skill. This Bill will be a detriment not only to my life but my numerous server/bartender friends that rely on our customers. Prices will skyrocket and the restaurant industry as a whole will lose.

CT House Bill 7084 would be detrimental to the lives of my family, colleagues, and friends who all work very hard every day to make their living in restaurants.

I will have to find work in another state as I currently have a very well paying job. I have been employed by the same company for over 5 years.

This is very upsetting to know that so many hard working people who have made a career in this business will loose the wages they deserve and work hard for. My husband and I are both in this business and love the satisfaction that it brings us and our guests and are proud to be part of a long standing tradition of how food and beverage brings people together and is so important in so many peoples lives. However, it is not party as everyone thinks, we work hard as so many other people do and no one should have the deserved compensation taken away.

People like myself work in the service industry BECAUSE we get tipped. Eliminating it is unfavorable in an economy where the minimum wage is not enough to survive.

Drain the swamp.

CT House Bill 7084 would adversely affect my family, my colleagues and thousands of other businesses, workers and families in Connecticut. It is unfair for the Legislature to punish restaurant employees who have depended on tips to survive in an already challenging economy by changing the rules and setting them up for failure. I hope they will carefully consider the consequences and vote against the bill.

I worked as a waitress and earned my income. I now tip others fairly. Please don't take this opportunity away from people to earn a fair wage for their work.

Really let them keep thier tips. Some people depend on those tips to help with thier families, pay bills, and buy food and whatever else they need.

Please do not pass this law. 16 year olds just coming into the working world get minimum wage. Some of us restaurant veterans have been in the industry for 30+ years, gone through expensive training and years of abuse just to have us reduced back to minimum wage is an insult to all that we have worked for.

This would gravely hurt the livelihood of this industry.

They can't take our tips away cuz it will make it difficult to support our families and live our daily lives
