Please do not put hard working waiters and waitresses out of work. Too many of them count on the tips they earn.

This ridiculous idea will not save consumers any money but will significantly reduce the wages of hard-working restaurant employees while greatlyreducing levels of service .

It's not fair to go after these people's incomes. We all have someone we know or are related to that makes a living this way. My mom was a waitress for many years and that income helped us survive.

I don't understand how servers survive on a wage if there are no tips.

Earning tips through my job is the only way I can live on my own, pay my bills, and put myself through school. I am almost finished with my education and would like to be able to finish.
