Tips is how we make ends meet

tips are how I support myself through school and my family WE NEED OUR TIPS

I do not want to remove this as it could highly effect bartenders if we did not get tipped the job would be meaningless and the hours are perfect for someone who needs to work only certain shifts or go to school full time but pay their bills as well.

Tips are what entice great servers and bartenders, this is why we come to work, providing the art of great service and being able to engage the customer will be replaced with less adequate servers who are working for minimum wage and not trying because there is no incentive to succeed above others. No tipping makes the job way less rewarding and less enticing to most people and will cause most current bartenders abd servers to find other jobs.

Servers and bartenders are amongst the highest paid staff members in the industry. In many instances they make more than the managers. This will hurt the people you believe you are helping. Please do NOT get rid of the tip credit and allow the full service restaurants to stay in business.

That is the crazyist thing,if your goal is to increase wages you are going to do just the opposite.

Very bad idea to eliminate the tip credit and will ultimately lead higher prices and lower standards

This is a VERY bad idea! Servers and bartenders rely on their tips to support themselves and their families. If this bill passes, people won't be able to make ends meet.

I have worked in restaurants as a professional since 1986, in each and every business I have worked, elimination of the tip credit would have obviously resulted in restaurants adding service charges. This takes the guests ability to rate service through tip percentage away, taking incentives to provide professional service away from their guests. Many employees in this business could not afford to feed their families and pay to live in the decreased wage that will inevitably follow the elimination of the tip credit. Children's mothers and fathers must be able to provide for them and keep a home. Please think of them, and do NOT eliminate the tip credit. Justin T Gavry Max Downtown

Hourly employee wages will be forced down and prices will be forced up.

Do not pass this the people who are server's already work way to Hard for such poor pay,they should get at least minimum wage AND keep all their tips

I am a restaurant owner and have over 500 employees this bill would hurt the people you are trying to help!

Do not tske away tip credit!

Utterly absurd. This state is the worst. I can't wait to leave. Make it harder for small businesses and keep stepping on the middle class with more taxes. Learn how to balance a budget losers

I am for the current system of tipping for services rendered. I also am in favor of the owners ability to deduct the % that the credit companies levy on the charge for credit card fees. The amount that a restaurant would have to charge a guest to enable a server to make a salaried earning, would put the restaurant on bad terms, and subsequently put me out of a good job

Grants restaurant. I support my family and pay my mortgage on my tips, as do many others. Changing our tip structure will drastically impact the economy. Please don't put us back in a recession.

Don't let this happen! The restaurant industry will take a huge hit and employees will quit!

Don't eliminate the CT Tip Credit. Some individuals in this field work very hard to earn money and make a living. These individuals provide customer service to make individuals content. If taken away, you are ruining lives.
