It is time to eliminate quebec language law bill 101. It has been proven anti business, anti english, anti everyone except the nationalist. The french language is no longer threatened and has not been for decades. It imposes restrictions to schools of both the english and also the french community as well. It is about time its eliminated for the good. This petition if successful, i strongly believe it will be, will force the government to take steps if not completely eliminate, then reduce significantly bill 101.
Refining the arguments against this legislation requires a clear focus on the economic and social burdens it imposes on our province. I am currently drafting a formal brief to present these concerns to the appropriate legislative offices.
December 1, 2012
The momentum behind this petition highlights a growing recognition that these language restrictions no longer reflect the reality of our province. I am encouraged to see so many individuals engaging with this cause as we prepare to present our position to the government.

The only people who support this rubbish bill are extremists nationalists, it allows them to spew their hate on everyone who's not a white francophone. I'm tired to be abused because I speak English.

As a Canadian, first and foremost, it should be my right to select one our 2 official languages to pursue my studies. Quebec should focus on its crumbling infrastructure and corrupt politicians and eliminate their language discrimination against their own population.

Plus nous pouvons apprendre de langues, mieux c'est .... restons ouverts d'esprit et inclusifs ... embrassons les différences des gens et apprenons les uns des autres ... Cela doit s'arrêter !!!!
Give our children the choice... the more languages the better.. let's stay open minded and inclusive... embrace people's differences and learn from one and other... This needs to STOP!!!!

Why do we let Quebec blackmail Canada economically to have French across Canada keep French only in Quebec
Makes no sense
They are selfish and greedy

Away with Bill 101. My father's store was forced to close or pay a hefty fine, back in the late 70's, in Clarenceville. We took our tax $$ to New Brunswick instead!

Enough with the language police. My business suffered for years because of these ridiculous rules. It is just keeping talent away from MTL.
