Bullying of any sort should not be tolerated or allowed.

This is inexcusable behaviour. Unfortunately however, it is not uncommon. I was subjected to harassment, verbal aggression, slander and gaslighting at my workplace by colleagues after I decided not to pursue a relationship with a Research Fellow at USYD (he had contacts at my workplace). After I complained to HR about what was occurring, he used his contacts to relocate to UNSW. Rather than being supportive, my supervisor and his colleagues (most of them women!) stood by him and protected him. I was left without an income, contacts, support or dignity. I have had to suspend my PhD for 12 months and I am not sure what I will come back to. Some women use their sexuality in an underhanded way to 'get ahead'. I was penalised for not giving someone what they clearly felt they were entitled to.

Important women's voices are heard about the journey of being an invisible victim of harmful, degrading treatment

This is disgraceful. The number of companies that push bullying under the rug is astounding. This is a very sad situation and unfortunately not the only one.

Bullies are usually very good at masking their true face, they seem to be 'nice people', that's why even when their victims recognize & report the bullying behaviour to supervisors/management they are not believed - which makes them feel even more forsaken and alone in their plight. The worst scenario is perhaps when the bully is the boss, then you have no other choice but to leave your job since to 'prove' you have been bullied/mobbed you must prove you have suffered biological damage & gather lots of evidence - which is not always that easy and is quite distressing. Bullying can ruin a person life as well as that of their family/friends. We should all say no to bullying and have the courage to speak up and denounce bullies.

Bullying isn't right. Too many people are dying because of it. No one deserves to die and feel worthless. That's a horrible thing. Bully is something I'll always stand strongly against. We need to spread love and stop the hate. We need to take a stand for what's right. If we don't who will? Take a stand today.
