How can the coCT expect for the poor to afford the ridiculous fee they have implemented. There are pensioners being charged +- R250 a week. I agree electricity tariffs need to FALL.

Electricity is a basic right! Yet its one of the most expensive items in my monthly expenses. We are funding for the rich with our hard earned money. Eskom bosses get massive bonuses and salaries yet the company say they do not have money to fund the demand of electricity?

Having to pay double the amount we used to pay for electricity is taking food from the tables! It is in fact daylight robbery!

Ridiculous that my electricity has more than doubled because I'm not getting enough units. We barely making it thru the month. Why are the average ppl on the street suffering?

The electricity tariffs are really way too much. I cannot afford to switch my geyser on...
Have a 86 year old with me in the house and she can't even enjoy a nice warm bath. After paying my bond we have too little money left....so the R800 worth of electricity that I buy don't allow us to use the geyser. What is the use of owning a house but cannot afford to enjoy it
