Some of my basic necessities even need to be taken away due to the high cost of electricity. Its an utter disgrace that one must live a constant stressful battle one after the other. What ever happened to the famous promised changes. But here we are rather left with horrific ridiculous surprises like this.We live in such a beautiful country but its such a shame who they put in charge to make such destroying decisions. So sad.

Its ridiculious how much we pay. I buy R50 and get 16 units just because we bought a property.

Where in Cape Town do you find a property worth less than R400K? The city must serve all its residents especially the unemployed and working poor.

Electricity prices and everything else such as food and petrol prices are just ridiculous. How do we survive from month to month?

It must fall ... even if your house is more than 400k why must u be penalized. Most people are just getting by .. the city just wants us to pay and give nothing basic back!! Sick of it #electricitytarifsmust fall.

The tariffs are unreasonably high and it surely goes against the CPA.

My electricity increased 100%. We used to use R250/R280 a month, for the month of July we have used R520. Its Ridiculous.

The price we pay for the pathetic amount of units is ridiculous!!!! We'll be needing a separate bank account and a second job just for electricity!!!!
