We are truly struggling to get by as it is and the increase price of electricity places so much more strain on my household. We cannot cope and seriously can't afford to pay this exorbitant amount for electricity. We can't manage at all

I've seen my Daughter & her mother-in - law got stuck with an enormous Bill.. Then the City deducted huge amounts everytime they bought electricity & refused to accept installments.. Despite her paying R10000 upfront.. They forced that single woman to pay in full.. During Covid?!!!.. We had Enough of this Nonsense indeed!!

There has to be a way to reduce electricity. It's ridiculous that I spend R2000 sometimes more on electricity for the month and I reside in Beacon Valley Mitchell's Plain.

Electricity tariff hikes has been the ultimate killer when it comes to our economy. You can never ever budget for it as each month you pay more. Its flippin ridiculous how we barely have money for food as those prices increase as a direct result of electricity hikes. how can it keep being increased and not at inflation rate but on their own damn feeling. People are starving and jobless. In a pandemic and then we still ahve loadshedding.

It's ridiculous to have the hike of electricity at an exorbitant cost.With Covid and petrol up,we still need to live.This government is failing us in a big way..How do you expect us to live..We ain't no rich people man..It's our constitutional right to be heard and live the proper way..

There should be a consistent, logical, understandable, user-friendly system of interpreting how the different tariffs work, which differentiates Cape Town City customers from Eskom Direct customers. There is just so much confusion and anger due to misunderstandings and lack of clear explanations as to how everything is structured.
