I live in Fort Myers, Florida but my roots are in Granger. It's time to set aside land like this for future generations to use and enjoy. I can't wait to visit this park with my kids on future trips. Keep up the good fight.

My favorite area course! What a tragedy if it would go away, not only for golfers but for lovers of wetlands.

Elbel is a gem in terms of topography alone- so much of St. Joe County being, MEH, flat. For instance, Elbel has the potential to be a jewel for x-c skiing. Elbel is vastly superior vis-a-vis St. Pat's Park for x-c skiing, if groomed (Elbel is prone to snow drifts). In brief, the sale of Elbel will degrade the quality of life for South Bend and St. Joseph Co. for the benefit of a few developers- make Elbel a public park. Hey, St. Pat's has a underutilized groomer/track setter.

Its a gem...my favorite in and out of the city...City should keep it as an open nature refuge. Developers would sell it off as suburban housing.

The city and parks department should provide more time to study and think about this decision. There has not been enough time since the Blackthorn sale to gather information about the effect that had on participation.

Elbel is a GEM. I play golf in the summer & cross country ski in the winter. Leave it alone! We don't need another housing development with housing only a few can afford.

Elbel is a natural treasure. While I don't play golf I have spent many happy hours there cross country skiing and hiking, both activities important for physical and mental health.

We are already having business development out here. Don't turn this area into another Granger/Knollwood with all the traffic congestion on country roads not designed to handle it.

If it can't pay for itself as a golf course, why not give it to the county parks for $1.00 to use as a nature preserve? The city has spent way more money on way more costly projects than it would by donating this beautiful piece of property to the county. If it ends up with yet another Cooreman real estate sign on it, I'll throw up.

I haved golf all over the USA. When ask where am I from. Then when I say South Bend IN. Many say Elbel golf course what a diamond. Lets leave it as such. Say no on Elbel. Keep it for all to use.
